In this episode of The Lui Diaz Podcast we have the pleasure of chatting to one of Australia’s wittiest new comedian’s Steven Bradshaw about his personal journey into comedy or, ‘finding his thing’.
Recorded in Melbourne’s Hosier Lane, you’ll once again be treated to (or annoyed by) the ambient happenings of one of Melbourne’s most iconic laneways. This is the first ever episode recorded with the Insta 360 X4, purchased specifically for the podcast with a view to allow us to not only continue to capture the soundscape of the laneway but also bring our audience a whole new visual experience and introduce a whole new stylistic approach that makes The Lui Diaz Podcast unlike any other!
A great opportunity to CAUTION my audience to the fact that this podcast is now being optimised for viewing. Whilst we’re aiming to continue to strive for a fun and flowing audio experience, recording in public inevitably means interacting with characters from time to time, and we wanted to capture some of the wonderful people who either stop to say hi, or just plain catch our eye for you to feel like you’re right there with us :)
(F**k knows why I’,m saying “we” - This podcast is still solely produced by one man 😅 so please subscribe, comment and give him a like to help him out)
Back to my guest! Steven Bradshaw isn’t only witty, he’s funny as hell and he’s also one of the hardest working people I’ve ever come across and someone who absolutely epitomises what The Lui Diaz Podcast is all about, throwing caution to the wind and chasing your dreams!
While this episode is very much conversational, with Lui opening a few stories of his own, we weave in and out of Steven’s still very nascent, but already action packed comedy career and cover things like:
Being humble and grateful for where you are in the journey (Steven really reminded me of the importance of appreciating that we should always start with being grateful that we’ve found that thing that lights us up, where others haven’t been so fortunate)
The subtle art of not setting lofty goals
The pride of being able to represent (Cook) Islander community in the U-So Funny event earlier in 2024 and
Of course finding your thing, knowing when the time is right and going for it.
Once again it’s a privilege and a pleasure to bring you more great conversations on The Lui Diaz Podcast and I hope you enjoy this cracker with Steven Bradshaw!
